A thread lives or dies on its first post. If the hook doesn't earn the tap, nothing else matters. Here's the structure we use for every long-form thread, across every network.
Hook, body, payoff
Open with a specific promise or tension — not a warm-up. Deliver the substance in the middle, one idea per post. Then close with a payoff the reader can act on or share.
- Hook: a concrete claim or question that can't be ignored.
- Body: one clean idea per post, no filler.
- Payoff: a takeaway, a summary, or a clear next step.
Write it as one, publish it as many
Draft the whole thing as a single document, then let the thread composer auto-split it into a clean, numbered thread — with a live preview of exactly what publishes.
